Cookies are nothing but some files that stores user’s data to improve the browsing experience. You can also delete cookies if you no longer want the computer to remember your Internet browsing history. Cookies themselves aren’t harmful, since they just store data and do not change or modify it. Typically, they can’t infect computers with viruses or some other malware. Although some of the cyber attacks can hijack cookies and, hence the private information in browsing sessions. The danger lies in their ability to track individuals’ browsing histories. So make sure if you are on a public computer, then delete cookies when you have finished browsing so later users will not have your data sent to websites when they use the browser.
