Maslow’s motivational theory is a theory of hierarchy of needs that comprises of five tiers.
Maslow’s theory states needs that are lower down in the hierarchy should be satisfied for people to achieve needs higher in the hierarchy.
From bottom to up, Maslow’s hierarchy consists of following needs:
1. Physiological needs
2. Safety needs
3. Belongingness and love needs
4. Esteem needs and
5. Self actualization
