Quality control is the process of checking whether the manufactured products meet a certain set of quality criterias or meet client requirements. If the manufactured product does not meet the set criteria, it should not be sold.
Quality control is an important aspect of business because only when you offer better quality products than your competitors can you survive competition.
Following are some objectives of quality control:
1. To produce products with a standard acceptable quality
2. To identify flaws or variations in the manufacturing process
3. To analyze and determine the level of deviation in quality of products produced
4. To analyze cause for deviation
