Some differences between recruitment and selection are as mentioned below:
1. Looking for potential applicants whose profile match the job requirement is known as recruitment and once the applicant becomes a candidate meaning they meet the skill set requirements, then the process of conducting interviews and finalizing a candidate for the open position is known as selection.
2. The hiring process begins with recruitment and ends with selection.
3. Recruitment is a positive task and selection is a negative task.
4. Recruitment is a searching function and selection is a screening function.
5. Recruitment is easy when compared to selection as it does not require skills on part of the recruiters whereas selection is a difficult job as it requires specialized knowledge and skills to be a selector.
