A strong organizational culture is important for the following reasons:
1. Increases employee engagement: Having a strong organizational culture keeps employees motivated at work and hence leads to increase in their productivity at work. Strong culture gives employees a purpose at work.
2. Decrease in turnover: Since having a strong culture keeps employees engaged and motivated, as a result the turnover rate decreases.
3. Sense of direction: When employees believe in company’s culture, it gives them a sense of direction and focus.
4. Defines organization’s identity: Company culture acts as a brand image for the organization. It is at times that employees want to work in a particular organization because of the culture at that organization.
